Special Kids is Christian therapy and nursing center for children with special needs. Our Murfreesboro-based ministry started with one child in 1998 and has grown to serve over 2,700 children from 18 counties in middle Tennessee.
We offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, feeding therapy, and nursing care. Our services have expanded over the years to include a summer day camp and orthopedic physical therapy. We care for children with special needs ages birth to 21 years who have been referred to our organization by a physician.

Just hop on the bus! Special Kids Race provides 5 min. shuttle transportation from New Vision Baptist Church and the Oaks Shopping Center for all of our race participants. Pick up and drop off are located in front of the main entrance sanctuary (at New Vision) and in front of Fleet Feet Murfreesboro (at the Oak's Shopping Center) starting at 5:45 am and constantly running during and after the race. Limited parking will be available at the other lots shown on our parking map.
The best part about the Special Kids Race course? It's fast and flat! The 15K and 5K courses start in front of Murfreesboro Medical Clinic before heading down Garrison drive and out onto Old Nashville Highway. Both distances enjoy a loop through Stones River Battlefield, and the 15K continues on Wilkerson Pike to the Chamber of Commerce before a peaceful jaunt down county roads and back to the medical clinic. The 1 mile distance follows the loop around the Gateway Island pond behind Murfreesboro Medical Clinic.
